Kill The Fish · Effective 8 September 2026 · Updated 15 September 2026
The game runs on your device. What you draw stays there. If you sign in, the same things are also kept in a database so they reach your other device — nothing more. Nothing is tracked, shared or sold.
The iPad app has no sign-in and stores everything on the device. It sends nothing anywhere and collects nothing at all. The sign-in described below is on the website, fish.paramore.design, and is optional there.
What is kept on your device
Playing a game writes to the app's own storage on the iPad:
- the fish and every drawing made to kill it
- the names players typed, and the name given to each method
- finished games, their causes of death and their certificates
- the illustrations kept for the title screen
- a few settings, such as the last group of players' names
No other app or website can read it. Deleting Kill The Fish deletes all of it.
What is kept if you sign in
Signing in is optional and the whole game works without it. It exists for one reason: so a game and its drawings reach a second device.
To sign in you type an email address and we email a one-time code to it. If you complete that, two things are stored on a server:
- your email address, which is the identifier the rest is filed under
- a copy of the game data listed above — drawings, names, history
Both are used only to make the app work across your devices. The database is Supabase, and the sign-in code is delivered by Resend. Both act on our instructions and neither uses any of it for their own purposes.
What is not collected
- No analytics. No event logging, no session tracking, no usage statistics.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No tracking of you across this app, other apps, or the web.
- No location, contacts, camera, microphone or photo library.
- No sharing with anyone beyond the two providers named above, and no sale of anything, to anybody, ever.
The app needs no network connection to play. Signed out and offline, nothing leaves the device at all.
Sharing a certificate
Share and Save hand the finished image to the device's own share sheet. Where it goes from there is your choice. The image is never uploaded to us.
Children
The game is for everyone, and a child can play a whole round of it unaided. Nothing whatsoever is collected from anyone who has not signed in, and signing in requires an email address and access to that inbox.
We do not knowingly keep personal information belonging to a child under 13. If you believe a child has signed in and you would like the record removed, write to the address below and it will be deleted.
Deleting what is stored
On the device: delete the app. Everything it kept goes with it.
From the database: write to the address below from, or naming, the address you signed in with, and ask for it to be removed. Everything filed under it — the address itself, the games, the drawings — is deleted, and no account is left behind. No reason is required.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Anything material is also noted in the app's release notes.
